When there's a big movie coming out, you can count on The Asylum to throw together some shoestring budget cash grab to capitalize on the name alone, and release it around the same time! Atlantic Rim is one of those (blog post) movies. It worked, if it weren't for the name (blog post) and obvious rip off of Pacific Rim, who the hell would still be talking about (blog post) it?
